Important News from Arjan Khalsa

Dear Reader,
On behalf of the entire IntelliTools staff, I am pleased and honored to inform
you that we have joined the Cambium Learning group of companies. For 25 years,
IntelliTools has been an Assistive Technology leader. For the past five years,
we have made significant strides in reaching a broader audience while maintaining
our AT focus. Now, with this important business development, we will be better
equipped to fulfill our mission to serve underperforming students.
IntelliTools will stay right here
in our Petaluma offices, keep our name, and maintain our high level
of service to all of you.
I will continue doing my best to guide our vision and mission,
with the added advantage of Cambium leadership that represents
over 60
years at the highest levels of Houghton Mifflin, Simon & Schuster,
and other premier educational publishers. You can count on an ever-stronger
IntelliTools with evolving products and professional development,
and a continuing partnership with educators.
Over the course of the coming months and years, IntelliTools will
be exploring the best ways to combine our vision and talents with
the exceptional people,
products, and services of other Cambium Learning companies like Kurzweil Educational
Systems and Sopris West Educational Services. Kurzweil offers state-of-the-art
technology for taking the printed page and web-delivered text, and making it
interactive and accessible in software. Sopris provides highly regarded evidence-
and research-based reading and mathematics curricula, along with a service
delivery system that helps transform the education of struggling
students. The synergies
between our companies are powerful and ripe with promise.
All of us at IntelliTools are very excited about these new developments. We are
in business to help all students learn to their fullest potential, and we are
making this transition to increase our level of service to the educational community.
